VI. REQUIREMENTS AND ASSIGNMENTS: There are two parts to earning course credit. Part 1 is registering for and participating in the study tour. Part 2 is enrolling in the Blackboard course and completing the assignments listed below.
A. Part 1: Study Tour
Tour Participation: A variety of experiential learning opportunities will be afforded throughout the tour. For more details, see the School of Education U-Guide and Advising Guide website. Completing Part 1 alone will not earn course credit. Credit is earned only by completing both Part 1 and Part 2.
B. Part 2: Blackboard Assignments: In addition to paying travel expenses, students are also responsible for paying tuition expenses for course credit.
1. Textbook: Read the textbook, integrating and citing content from it in the final paper.
2. Discussion Board Entry: Write a 250-word reflection about the study tour. Include the country/countries visited, the date of the trip, and the greatest impact the experience had on you.

3. Paper: As you write your personal philosophy, compare your own beliefs to those from the textbook and study tour. The paper is to be in APA format with a minimum of six references. The title, abstract, reference and any other extraneous pages do not count toward the page length requirement outlined below:
Course Page Length EDUC 305 & 360 6-7 pages EDUC 504, 603, & 604 9-10 pages EDUC 703 12-13 pages
Per the grading rubric at the bottom of the syllabus, the following headings must be clearly marked:
• Abstract • Worldview & Philosophy of Life • Philosophy of Schools & Learning • Instructional Practice • Teacher-Learner Relationships • Diversity • Conclusion

NOTE: Each course module/week begins on Monday morning at 12:00 a.m. (ET) and ends on Sunday night at 11:59 p.m. (ET). The final module/week ends at 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Friday.
